parents crouching blades in hand,
to save the babies, their last stand,
from outside a dreadful snapping,
like the sound of dark wings flapping.
No one lives forever, it's true,
the darkness always takes it's due.
Sightless eyes upon the floor,
a family once, but now no more.
The background music a demon clapping
to the sound of dark wings flapping.
